720,000 Wisconsin borrowers need help. Together, We Can Make College Affordable for Every Wisconsinite.

Who are DebtSmarts Members?

Our members are businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, banks, credit unions, financial aid leaders, colleges, universities, school districts, policy leaders, consumer and student advocates. We are Wisconsin-focused and nationally-connected.

What are the benefits of becoming a DebtSmarts Member?

Our members meet quarterly to learn about emerging issues in student loan borrowing and their impact on Wisconsin borrowers. Resources and opportunities from our members are cross-promoted through DebtSmarts’ weekly newsletter and on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. Members participate through DebtSmarts in events with statewide visibility, such as hosting a webinar or through our MoneySmart scholarship competition and award ceremony.

A woman holding a colorful magazine stands in front of a nameplate on a wall. The nameplate reads "Representative Mike Gallagher, Wisconsin, 1230." There are American flags behind her and other signs indicating room numbers and building information.

We are a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working with public and private sector organizations who share the commitment to reducing student loan debt.
